Throwing away so many high quality carrots, due to wrong size are not sustainable, and thus this collaboration emerged. It&#8217;s a time consuming job, that used to be done with tractors driving the weeding machines. Today, the tractors have been replaced with solar-powered hatchbacks. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Every year, we weed approximately 700 hectar of organic soil, and before solar-powered weeding trucks arrived, we measured that each tractor drove approximately 580 hours per season and that the consumption was approximately 20 liters of diesel oil per hour. In total, for one season, the diesel consumption was approx. 116,000 liters of diesel oil &#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.
